Story
Many people who know me will know that I know all too well the impact of someone having a Stoke. My dad had a stroke December 2023, i was on scene pretty much from the beginning and it was scary, i got to witness first hand the impact it has on that persons life, but i also got to witness the miracle of the drug given during the critical time frame. Thankfully he's made a full recovery but is living Anosognosia which is a lasting effect of damage to his brain. My mum on the other had wasnt so lucky hers was fatal and now weโre dealing with her loss everyday which is hard and nothing prepares you for the loss of someone so close to you ๐.
Some people will know the struggle that survivorโs go through, learning to walk, talk, many just want to get back to normality but for some this doesn't happen thats where the support from family and friends and professional's comes in. I would love to help people understand life after a stroke isn't as easy as getting back to normality its finding a new normality.
Ever since mum passed i have wanted to do something to raise money for the charity and i have found something that could help.
May is โMAKE MAY PURPLEโ i have decided to donate ยฃ5 from every set of nails i paint purple during may.
Please dont feel like there is any pressure to have purple nails its just a way i can give to something that means alot to my family.
