Story
Most of you will already know that I am lucky enough to have 3 beautiful daughters.. Delilah, Florence & Iris.
My twin daughters were given a very low chance of survival from the beginning of pregnancy but fought against all odds and were then born prematurely at 32 weeks. They required life saving treatment at birth and without the support of the hospital, NICU, charities like Bliss and the consultants at Chelsea & Westminster I wouldn’t be sat here today telling you the same story. I’d like to do anything I can to give back to the people who helped give my children life when it wasn’t guaranteed. (If you’d like to hear our story you can listen here https://open.spotify.com/episode/4WhfUzWKs6XjYRlGde0zoV?si=Q3vocnjhSvO_XJdIm_cVSQ). The rate of babies born premature or sick in the UK is rising with 1 in every 7 babies needing neonatal care. Bliss is continuing the fight to improve outcomes and quality of life for these babies - but we need your help to do that! I am running the London Marathon 2024 to raise money to help ensure that every baby born prematurely has access to available medical care/procedures that are needed to save their lives. We owe our twins lives to the medical care we received during our pregnancy and after their birth and this is my way of giving back!
