Story

On 12th September 2013 My lovely Mum was admitted to hospital after showing some signs of a slight stroke. After a CT scan and an MRI the doctors gave us the devastating news that Mum had  Stage 4 Glioblastoma Multiforme. They sent Mum home the next day after talking about appointments in a few weeks time to see specialists, have biopsies, talk about treatments etc.... we started to prepare ourselves as a family for months of chemo and helping mum through a difficult fight.

After looking up the type of tumour online, we knew the future for Mum didnt look good. This type of tumour has a survival time of no more than 5 year (and this was only 5% of patients). We all worried about how the future looked for us as a family. I was getting married in the November and Mum was determined to be there.

We lost our lovely Mum on 26th september just 2 weeks after diagnosis.

Between 1st March and 31st December i will be walking/running 1000 miles. Thats about 5.5k per day. Some of this will take the form of park runs, some sponsored 10k events, and walks with friends. Please follow my journey and give what you can. Brain tumour research is massively underfunded with only 5% of research money going to it. If you can sponsor me just £10 ( 1 pence per mile) I would be very grateful.
