Myeloma UK is the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with myeloma. We make it possible to live longer and better lives with myeloma. Through research and treatments, we find new ways to a cure. Together, we are the cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My challenge is to run 10k races a week apart - the Baxters Loch Ness 10k in Inverness on 29 September and Great Scottish Run in Glasgow on 6 October.  I had major surgery last year and I’ve found it really tough getting back to some sort of fitness.  I’m no spring chicken either – not only did I turn 60 this year but I've also been made a great-granny - thanks for that Holly!

I only found out about Myeloma UK recently when an acquaintance was diagnosed after she went to give blood.  It is a very rare condition and as with many other worthy causes it relies on the generosity of the public to carry out crucial research and to give support to patients and their loved ones. It receives no government funding at all.

I am a member of  ACE, a chorus of 150 singers, who perform annually in the Clyde Auditorium with a full professional orchestra.  This recreates the type of sound that is usually only heard on a West End stage and the concerts have been hugely popular since its inception in 1999.  This year the concert is being held on Friday 16November and ACE are also supporting Myeloma UK.  Concert details can be found on the ACE website -http://www.aceconcerts.org.uk/   Tickets are on sale at SECC box office 0844 395 4000 or online fromwww.ticketsoup.com.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.  Many thanks.
