Debbie's 4 week old niece, Poppy Wood, was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis on Sunday 30th August. She has had a pretty rough week but has responded well to antibiotics and is making good progress.  She will remain in Yorkhill for at least another week until the doctors are satisfied the bacteria has gone. 

Well, we did the half marathon this morning to help raise funds for the ongoing work of the Meningitis Research Foundation in Scotland.  Sandy completed it in 1:47:28s and Debbie in 1:56:10s.  We are both feeling pretty knackered but are pleased we could do this and are really grateful for your support.
