Thanks to all my supporters I made an inspired run and managed to complete the distance in under an hour. My exact time was 54 mins 31 secs. To run 10 kilometers seems daunting at times but nothing compared to the daunting events that children in poor communities face each day. Please remember that ICT works to support thousands of the most vulnerable children in some of the most unsafe, poor communities in the world, by helping them access education and rebuild family relationships, which will in turn help them establish a decent future for themselves and eventually their own children. 

To be facing the risks of the street, working in illegal, exploitative labour, or being trafficked without the knowledge of where you are going,  are terrible situations for anyone to experience let alone children. These are the children that I ran for.

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.  I would still like to raise my target of £2,000. To give you an idea of what this money means, £2,000 will cover the costs of bringing 10 children in the poor barrios of Ecuador, away from night- working on the streets, and start the rehabilitation they need to get back into school, or it will pay the cost for a year of 2 community teachers who guide young ex child labourers, in India, through basic education to help them into formal school.
