I have been friends with the lovely Jane Carr for a great number of years and have been particularly inspired by her during the last three years.  Unfortunately, Jane has been undergoing treatment for ovarian cancer since May 2015 so I have decided to complete a sponsored swim in aid of The Eve Appeal who protect women from gynaecological cancers.

My aim is to swim the equivalent distance from Amble Marina to Coquet Island which is a mile.  I have to add that I will be swimming this in the pool at Village Farm, Shilbottle and not in open water!  This represents 150 lengths which I have been training for since February this year.  I plan to complete this at the end of September 2018.
