My partner Lee has got IgA nephropathy  -  his kidneys are failing meaning he is on the waiting list for a transplant and he has to endure daily dialysis. 

This has motivated me to run a half marathon to raise money for Kidney Care, a charity that provides patients and their families with the best care and support whilst they are dealing with renal failure.

Life is very different for us just now but dialysis is certainly helping Lee to feel better whilst we wait for the call.

 I’m starting from zero in terms of running experience and hoping to complete the distance in under 3 hours.
