Y1 a class of student police officers, are raising money for The Butterfly Bereavement Suite at Southend Hospital.

The Charity focuses on helping bereaved parents during the loss of a child during or just after birth, the moments after a loss are the hardest time and this focuses of providing a safe and private room with kitchen, tv’s and a bed for the partner. They also provide a temperature controlled cot so that the parents can spend moments with the child without the risk of decomposition, this can help to alleviate some grief.

We are running events such as cake and coffee mornings, a bingo night and a golf day. As part of all these events we are looking to hold a raffle to boost our fundraising efforts. I wondered if there are any local businesses that would be willing to donate some prizes for our raffle.
