The Brain Tumour Charity is the world’s leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, we’re moving further and faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour. A cure really can’t wait

Story

Since joining The Brain Tumour Charity back in July 2017 as the Challenge Events Manager, I have had the privilege of following, enabling and generally being part of so many amazing people's journeys to fight this disease. I've taken on many challenges before from cycling London to Paris, swimming a length of Windermere; but nothing fills me with dread more than running a marathon. So I went and entered into the London Marathon ballot of course! And here we are...

Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40, yet they receive less than 2% of the total funding for research into cancer - we're here to change this.

With COVID-19 putting a stop to the London Marathon 2020, as we know and love it, I will now be taking part in the 2022 event, all being well.  I looki forward to making my way around the famous 26.2 miles of the London Marathon with the rest of The Brain Tumour Charity team, making our way to a world without brain tumours.
