A Motorcyclist who died in a crash on the A36 at Whiteparish has been formally identified.

Emma-Louise Johns, from Porton, died when her motorbike and a VW Polo collided at 7.30pm on Thursday.

A police spokesman said:"Her family have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time."

The woman driver of the Polo sustained minor injuries but was very
shocked and was taken to Salisbury District Hospital as a precaution.

The road was closed until shortly after midnight for specialist officers to conduct examination of the scene.
