Story

In 2015 I was part of Team Sharkbait - a 5 person relay team who wanted to swim to France. On 29th August we succeeded and from that I have decided to attempt a solo swim this year.

Why? I love swimming in the sea!

The English Channel has a strange draw and swimming solo is something I simply want to do. In July this year I will leave the shores of Dover and slowly but surely swim my way across the 21 miles of sea to the French coast. It could take anywhere between 15 and 20 hours - I'm not the fastest swimmer and tides and wind will help or hinder.

Any sponsorship and donations I receive will go directly to Sarcoma UK in memory of a great friend, James Hessey.

Sarcoma is a cancer of the bone and soft tissue. It is one of the hardest to diagnose, and difficult to treat. We can help change this. By donating to my page, you will fund vital research projects looking for better treatments. Your donation will also raise awareness of the symptoms of sarcoma to help patients get an early diagnosis, and ensure everyone has access to specialist advice.Thank you for your support.
