Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Macmillan Cancer Support are here to help you find your best way through from the moment of diagnosis, so you’re able to live life as fully as you can.
As some of you may know, my sister, Karen, has secondary stage 4 cancer. She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer just a few years ago and within weeks of starting her Chemo, she was told that she would have to have a mastectomy as it was spreading and they needed to operate in order to stop it this was January 2017. All was well until a year later in February 2018, when the news came in that it had returned, only this time it was worse.
Every three weeks she has to undergo chemo, in October of last year she had to have her lymph nodes removed. Not a particularly nice procedure and the side effects afterwards can be worse.
Just after Easter this year she also went through a dose of radiotherapy.
This is my sisters life. every three weeks Chemo, then whatever other procedure they decide she needs in order to keep her here with us
As well as this she is also a mother to a 7 year old daughter and a 10 year old son who has autism.
What I'm doing is nothing compared to what she has to go through on a day to day basis.
Macmillan help thousands of families like my sisters and I just want to give something back
