We fund vital innovative biomedical studies to ignite research into ME/CFS

Story

ME / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a particularly challenging illness as the only suggested treatment is effort management - something which is impossible to do properly when you have a young family to care for.

That’s why I’ve set up this fundraiser to celebrate my ‘big birthday’, raise awareness of ME / CFS and support a charity that is carrying out relevant research.

My plan is to walk, jog, swim or cycle 40 miles every week, for a month, up to my birthday (which is more than double my current weekly average). Any donation is really appreciated as it makes me so pleased to feel that I am doing something positive to support my sister.

“The role of ME Research UK

ME Research UK exists to fund high-quality biomedical research into ME/CFS – to find its cause, to develop effective treatments, and ultimately to discover a cure.”

ME Research UK exists solely to fund high quality biomedical studies into the causes and treatment of ME/CFS.
