Cheers everyone who has donated either on here or in cash. I need your help so that I can use my skills in Sierra Leone. I will be working at a project in Freetown that has "guests" with mental health and substance misuse issues. As you can imagine the war and its aftermath have meant that many people are suffering from psychological distress and are vulnerable to increasing availability of drugs in the country. I will be supporting staff who work with these individuals, hopefully helping them to move to a new facility which Mission Direct have built in the country outside Freetown. This will be so much more therapeutic than their present cramped and unpleasant accomodation.
