Story
Sophia was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia in October 2011, but throughout her treatment you never would have guessed she was sick. No tears. No sadness. Just a kick-ass spirit and belief that she could conquer anything.
While her cancer was terminal, Fia remained a force of nature and I will always be in awe of how she took on cancer and never lost herself. She remained positive and showed unbelievable courage, even after she was told there was nothing more the doctors could do.
She is still the glue that keeps our friends together and never far from mind. Her love for everyone around her and the positivity and sass with which she approached life and cancer remains inspirational.

At the start of her treatment Sophia did not have healthcare. And while she eventually received Medicaid, treatment remained a significant financial burden.
I'm running in the Dragon's Back Race at the end of May and hope to raise money in Fia's memory for the LLS. Please will you help me support the LLS' efforts to find a cure and provide care for those living with blood cancers.
