Could you be part of making a miracle happen for 'An Island Parish' by helping to create Sark Methodist Sanctuary Centre for our island community? Working in partnership with the 600 strong community the Centre will welcome and support all and help the economy through offering retreat programmes.

Story

Did you know 2.4 million people watched BBC's An Island Parish set in Sark. If one in every four people donated even £1 to the Sark Sanctuary Building Fund we would be able to realise our vision of £500,000 and make a miracle happen for the people of Sark.

The Sanctuary Centre would:

  • meet multi-use community and ecumenical needs
  • provide emergency help to vulnerable people
  • support and provide for carers and older people
  • provide a dedicated safe space for children and young people
  • provide interactive exhibition space for residents and visitors
  • support local businesses through the retreat programme
  • offer support to migrant workers
  • provide a confidential space for meetings addressing community needs e.g. an AA group
  • provide a base for the visits of the Guernsey Health visitor, clinics and parent/toddler groups.
We aim, partnering with the local government and community to maintain and enhance the well-being and prosperity of all by providing a centre where all are welcome and included.

Sark Sanctuary Centre - serving the community for the benefit of all in the community.
