Berlin Marathon 2014 · 28 September 2014 ·

Over 100,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

On the 29th September 2014 I will be running the Berlin Marathon to raise money for the ‘Dickie Memorial Fund’; an MS Society fund that was established by the friends and family of Robbie Dickie in 2011.  To date, more than £30,000 has been raised to help young people in Ayrshire and Arran who are living with, or caring for someone living with, Multiple Sclerosis. Reflecting Robbie’s own commitment and enthusiasm, the fund aims to enable these young people to realise their life potential to the fullest possible extent. This includes supporting them to take up educational or employment opportunities or develop their leisure interests or hobbies.

Some of the best memories I have of Robbie are from the time we spent travelling through Germany in the summer before I moved to university. This photo was taken at the Brandenburg Gate, which will be the start line for the marathon. If you’re able to spare any money for this fantastic cause, I’d be very grateful. I am paying for my race entry, flights and accommodation; therefore every penny of donation goes straight into the fund.

Thank you!

Scott
