Cheshire Memory Walk, Delamere Forest · 24 September 2016 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Saturday 6th August we said goodnight to a very special lady. Nan fought Dementia bravely for over 2 years, finally joining my grandad when the fight was too much for her. She was still her cheeky self and kept smiling until the end.

On Saturday 24th September 2016 I will be taking part in the Cheshire Memory 6KM Walk at Delamere along with family members in a bid to raise money for a very worthwhile charity doing great work for the detection, prevention and care/treatment for Dementia and Alzheimer's  - Alzheimer's Society.

Any donations will be gratefully received. Thank you x

Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year – that’s the equivalent to one person every three minutes. This September and October Memory Walks will be taking place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to raise money for a world without dementia. Arm in arm, step by step and pound by pound, we will get there. Once you donate, Just Giving will send your money directly to the Alzheimer's Society. So it’s the most efficient way to raise money – saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Please dig deep and help us walk for a world without dementia.Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
