Fundraising for Alzheimer's Society
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On August 6th 2017 I am doing a 10000ft sky dive to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer's Society.
As you may remember my poor mother was diagnosed with dementia at the young age of only 60, she died one year later.
Dementia is a cruel and horrible disease, unlike cancer you do not know you have, you have no time to plan, my mother looked petrified everyday, it was very sad to see her like that.
A lot of money is raised each year for cancer charities, very little is raised for Alzheimer's charities, they need money if they are to find a cure, I would hate to see anyone else go through what my poor mother went through.
So, I'm thinking about a way to help, if I can raise only £500 I can do a skydive!!
Those that know me may know that I contracted Vertigo a couple of years ago, I now have permanent Menieres disease which is not nice. I get very dizzy and disorientated particularly at height, I am also like BA Baracus and not a fan of planes, I have always said there is no way I'd ever jump out of a plane.. this said, if I can get sponsorship I'll do it!
