Story

Christmas is a time of year we spend with our families and friends, enjoying good food and gifts. These are all things that we have come to take for granted. Even as a modern developed country there are still people out there who are not able to enjoy Christmas in the comfort of a home they could call their own, having the perpetual worry of not having somewhere to live.

I am doing this walk just before Christmas to raise awareness that there are people out there who are homeless and will not be able to enjoy Christmas. It's not just about Christmas either, it's about not having a home at any time and having to live on the streets, lonely, tired and scared. The Simon Community provide services to help the homeless which is why I have chosen them as my charity.
