Story
I'm playing in an ice hockey tournament, the UK Forum All Stars 2014. It is the seventh of it's kind, the first being held in Basingstoke in 2008. Since then, events have been held at Sheffield and Cardiff, alternating each year respectively. This year however the tournament returns to Sheffield due to contruction beginning on Cardiff's new ice rink, scheduled for the opening in late 2015.
This year, I'll be representing Help For Heroes, a team I represented in my second tournament in Sheffield 2011 (We won ;-) )
It's truly a remarkable charity that provides fantastic support for the families of troops oversees and the aftercare when the troops return.
I've set myself a fundraising goal of £300 this year, but knowing what I've raised in the past, I'm sure I'll smash it!
If you could dig deep and donate even £1, it makes a difference. If all my Facebook friends donated that amount, I'd certainly smash it.
All in all, its a great charity and this is the best form of raising money for any time of charity within British Ice Hockey.
See You There!
