Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In December I severely dislocated my arm for the final time causing widespread damage to my shoulder including torn rotator cuffs, labrum tears and 25% bone loss to my humeral head. The NHS told me the surgery required to repair me had a 9 month waiting list, I was in agony and unable to use my arm. Being a Mason I reached out for help to the Masonic Charitable Foundation who agreed to help me with costs to have the surgery done privately the following week after agreement. I had the surgery at the end of March and now in recovery which will be a very long process but now I'm moving in the right direction.
To show my appreciation and to attempt to reimburse the charity I am taking part in the Snowdonia Challenge at the end of July, the event runs over 3 days and is 35kms per day. Unfortunately due to a slow recovery I feel I will be unable to complete all 3 days so I'm just booked on for day 2 which will be 35kms around the Ogwen Valley.
