Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I’m really excited that on my 6th attempt
at entering the London Marathon, I finally got in! So, on April the 28th I will be running my first ever marathon.
Training is going well, and I recently completed The Milton Keynes Festival of Running 20 Mile Event so am well on the way to being able to complete the 26 miles in London. I am really pleased to have found Mind Map, a local Bedford based charity which work in schools to support children with mental health issues and would love to raise them some funds to support their great work.
The Mind Map are a Bedford based charity working in schools with a focus on the prevention and early intervention of children and young people's mental health difficulties.
The Mind Map work with children aged 4 to 13 and offer Emotional Literacy Programmes that help to equip children with the skills they need to best communicate how they are feeling. They also carry out workshops for children from Year 3 to Year 8 to develop resilience and positive mental health. They also supply materials to schools to help embed this concept in everyday behaviour, and offer staff training to help teachers understand the neuroscience of children’s behaviour. These combined approaches to mental wellbeing are incredibly effective in equipping children with the knowledge and skills to support and maintain their mental health now and in the future
All of the work Mind Map do is done free of charge.

I would be extremely grateful if you would contribute to my fundraising for The Mind Map. All money raised will go towards mental health work in schools. It costs as little as £10 to deliver an emotional literacy workshop to two classes and just £2 could equip a child with the tools and strategies to stay mentally healthy.
