WISHH stands for Working Independently to Support Hull Hospitals. We fundraise to complement and enrich the services and facilities at Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospitals, over and above what can be achieved by the NHS alone, for the benefit and comfort of patients and their loved ones.

Story

Update:

You can see from my pics that I completed the triathlon on 8th December 2019 and have raised £382 so far. Please sponsor me for this great cause so I hit my £500 target before Christmas.

My name is Seb Cooper, I am 15 years old and attend Riverside School in Goole. I am completing a triathlon in support of WISHH to help raise money for local hospitals and Cancer charities.

This is because one of my dads colleagues is poorly and currently having treatment in a local hospital and his school, The Marvell College are raising money in support.

I plan to complete a triathlon at my local gym, Cottingham Parks. I have never done a triathlon before and I plan to swim 1km, followed by a 5km bike then finishing with a 3km run.

My family are coming along on 8th December to cheer me on and I am hoping that I get lots of sponsorship that will help to inspire me to try my very best.

Historically hospitals have always relied on public support, even after the founding of the NHS; Hull and East Yorkshire (HEY) Hospitals are no different. Our mission as a charity is to raise money to help the Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital do more to ensure every patient receives the best and most modern care possible. Your support will help provide additional specialist equipment and support services, as well as aid the transformation of spaces and facilities within the hospitals for patient and visitor comfort alike.
