BHF - London to Brighton Bike Ride 2013 · 16 June 2013 ·
The Senior VS Junior team is made up of
Neil Gallini, Neil Kenwright, Paul Halliwell, David King
As a team we plan to start and finish together each completing personal triumphs in doing so. We know that some of the four of us are fitter than the others, however we are all pushing harder in training to be able to ensure we can keep together on the day. We will try and put some information about how are training is going and maybe even some photos when we all get to train together.
Neil Gallini only really cycled as a family pastime or as a method of transport, but then a conversation over some drinks with Neil Kenwright sparked the idea, the last two years were put on hold due to unforeseen circumstances but at the end of last year we got on our bikes and started training.
Neil Kenwright has never taken part in any distance ride of this type ever before and like Neil Gallini the idea was just a chat over a beer several years ago, but now after 4 months of training feels like he is getting closer to achieving his goal of crossing the finish line in Brighton in a reasonable time this summer. This will be a great challenge/achievement!
Paul Halliwell is getting to become a regular of the London to Brighton after completing it two years ago with some other friends, his main goal is to finish in a faster time than when he completed it last time.
Fr David King is a keen cyclist who last year cycled from Chichester to Eastbourne raising money for his church’s parish hall which was destroyed by fire.
We are all from totally different walks of life, but all have family members that have been affected by heart disease some surviving major heart surgery and other family members passing away from heart disease. So any donations to show your support would be greatly welcome.
