Men in Bras 2021

Like many of my generation, I'm not a true Charlotte
native. Raised in Durham, NC, it took many years and many stops for me to make my way to the Queen City. With my wife and 5-year-old daughter, we've carved out a nitch in a quiet neighborhood just north of the city in Huntersville to call home.
Since 2016, I have enjoyed work in occupational therapy, focusing on the geriatric population, more specifically benefiting the needs of seniors with cognitive impairments. “Finding common ground, listening to the stories, and assessing how to increase daily independence” is what I find fascinating about this line of work.
Three years ago, I got ahold of Charlotte’s running community through Run Charlotte Run. Since then, I have completed marathons and an ultramarathon with more on the way. I'm an RRCA certified running coach and have launched an all-inclusive platform, AthlosRunning.com, to help running be more accessible
through education and engagement. And through these connections, I was introduced to the Carolina Breast Friends organization.
“To help increase awareness through an event like this brings me great joy. My wife lost her aunt to a late diagnosis of breast cancer, and till this day, “what if” is still a common topic of conversation.”
Moving forward, I hope to continue supporting and engaging with all aspects of the Charlotte community while bringing awareness to important topics and those in need.
