We support Ward 3 at The Great North Children's Hospital, where families live in a protective bubble. Whether it’s funding cutting-edge research, providing emotional and practical support for families, or ensuring children can still be children, everything we do is centred around care and hope.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

For those of you that know our daughter Shannon she is a very special 5 year old who was born with SCIDS Severe Combined Immune Defiency, which is a very rare and serious illness. She was treated at ward 23 Newcastle Hospital in the Bubble Unit. Newcastle is only one of two hospitals in the UK to treat this illness the other being Great Ormond Street. She was very lucky to have a bone marrow transplant at 13 months which saved her life.

Shannon is taking part in the British Transplant Games in Bath in August this year and she is raising money for the amazing Bubble Foundation at Newcastle hospital. If you read their link you will see what wonderful people they are and the fantastic work they do.

Shannon has been through a lot in her 5 years and I hope that you could take a little time to read this and maybe support Shannon to raise money by going to the games for this worthwhile cause.

Thank you

Love Shannon and her mum and dad x
