Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As some of you probably know,my late sister was a long term student at The Royal School for the Deaf in Manchester from 1973 - 1979. Earlier this year for my 40th instead of gifts I requested dontations to The Seashell Trust ( as the school is now known) I was amazed by the response and managed to raise over £640.
A few weeks ago as a family we were asked if we would like to plant a tree at the school in memory of Susie. It gave us an opportunity to go back after 30 years and see how the school has developed, they do such a great job, the staff are amazing and the students are happy. We were lucky enough to meet the same staff who had looked after Susie over 30 years ago.Emotional but rewarding.
I am walking Hadrians wall from Sept 27th - Oct 1st, all 84 miles of it and saw it as an opportunity to try and raise a bit more to get to the £1k mark, I appreciate that some of you have donated already, aand for that I thank you, for those that havent - please dig deep and make an old lady very happy ( thats me !)
On behalf of Mum, Dad & my brother Phil thankyou so very much
