BCM was established in 1889 as a Christian response to social problems in inner-city Belfast. Today BCM aims to improve people’s lives in N. Ireland by providing emotional and practical support through a professional social care programme and community projects for a cross-section of society.

Story

I will be taking part in The Camino Pilgrim Walk (in Spain), which will start on 20th September and it will lasts 8 days, covering 72 miles (116 km).

The route is from east to west starting  from Sarria to Portomarin, Palas de Rei, Arzua, O Pino, then arriving at Santiago de Compostela by Tues. 27th September for the Pilgrim Mass at the Cathedral.

I will be doing that to raise money for BCM's Copelands, Dementia and Nursing Care, which will be a flagship project; an exemplar model providing market leading care for NI.  It will be constructed according to the University of Stirling’s Gold Standard in dementia design and will provide specialist dementia and nursing care.  It will offer a 24-hour residential and nursing service in a comfortable and supported environment with en-suite rooms, each one equipped to give residents maximum opportunity and independence.
