Sheilla Malaika is raising money for Angels Across Africa

A large number of children in the world are either orphaned or come from a disadvantaged background. Every child, regardless of race, colour or background has an equal right to a healthy start, a good education and protection from harm. If each one of us could help a child in need at any given time, the world would be a very different place.
I am working with and supporting this wonderful charity Angels Across Africa because they are doing a fantastic job of helping and positively changing the lives of disadvantaged children. As I turn 31 this year, I'm also running 31 marathons to help raise money to support Angels Across Africa. By changing the lives of children now, we change the course of their future and ours.
My first Marathon of the year will be the Bolton Abbey trail running festival on the 26th of February. This challenge will be a tough one as I've never done anything like this before. In 2002 I was hit by a car while crossing the road , coming from school. My left leg broke in 2 parts and I did not walk for the whole year. Since then I have never exercised or run, let alone run a long distance. My leg still hurts a lot sometimes, especially after training, but with passion and dedication, I will get there.
