Unfortunately I think we can say that we have all been affected by cancer in some way, whether through friends or family, it must be very frightening finding out you have cancer and the prospect of everything you will have to go through, the treatment, how it will make you feel and losing your hair.

As a hairdresser I understand how important your hair is for how we feel and I cannot imagine how hard it must be to lose your hair on top of everything else a cancer sufferer goes through.

Cancer treatment has advanced much over the years, in the 70’s less than 25% of people with cancer survived, however, over the last 40 years the survival rate has doubled!! This improvement has been helped through donations to charities which is why I would like to support them equally.
