Story
Sunday 10th November 2013 was the single day that lives changed forever for parents, Shirleen and Craig, when Theo was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Not only did this effect Theo but also his older sister who was 4 at the time.
For the past two years the family have struggled to come to terms with thier new reality and the tough treatments taking its toll on family life and of course Theo's health. So many hospital visits, around 50 nights stay, physiotherapy, consultations, transfusions, chemo, surgeries etc. It has been an unimaginable struggle but have pulled through somehow, but unfortunately there is a long way to go as Theo has to live with this brain tumour.
Along the way they have met many other families going through similar traumatic times, with varying health problems and outcomes due to both treatment and tumour growth.
Craig and Shirleen and close friends have taken this opportunity to raise funds specifically for Paediatric Low Grade Brain Tumours as less than 2% of cancer funds are spent brain tumours despite being the biggest cancer killer in under 40s. We are a team of 8 cyclists and a driver willing to take on the challenge to help shape the lives of children like Theo.
