Over 400 people, aged 7 to 87, have spent 14 weeks making bunting in the Tour de France leader jersey colours and decorating wheels. Our bunting and wheels are now displayed in Cambridge above streets and in shops to welcome the 2014 Tour de France stage 3 which departs from the city on Monday 7th July. We are also celebrating cycling and our community.

We have donated thousands of hours to the project - each jersey took approximately 3 hours to make (over 2000 jerseys have been attached to bunting bungy cord) and each wheel about half a day. Local groups and individuals have been involved, plus family and frineds from as far away as Australia. We would like to give people who are enjoying what we have created the opportunity to donate to charity. Marie Curie Cancer Care is the official charity of the 2014 Tour de France. We are also raising money for Jimmy's, a 24 hour 365 days a year emergency accommodation provider in Cambridge and You Can Bike Too, a charity which promotes cycling in the city..
