My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hello my name is Shorif 17 years of age and I'm from Essex. Me and 4 of my friends will be attempting the WORLD'S HOTTEST CURRY! In order to raise money for Save the Children. With your support we can help those children who are denied basic essentials in their life.

The event will be held on the 22 of April, so let’s raise as much money as we can.

I have seen with my own eyes what some of the heartbreaking things children go thorough whilst living in poverty. I had witnessed this when I visited Bangladesh, my home country. During my trip I realised how lucky I am things I take for granted is luxury to them, they don’t have clean running water, medication, education, a place to sleep. The list is endless. We can put an end to poverty only if everyone cared. Are you one of those who cared and wanted to end poverty or one of those who didn't?

Everyday 22,000 children die needlessly, that’s 1 child every 4 seconds. One of the biggest killer is pneumonia, medicines just cost £2 which could save a child’s life. Kids living in poverty have no choice but to drink dirty water but just £2 a month can change that. Some children living in poverty are slowing dying of hunger. I can go on and on about the problems which this children live through everyday.

It really doesn’t have to be that way, all these deaths are preventable. You can help save a child's life by donating a small amount for example:

£3 can buy a course of emergency food supplements to save the life of a severely malnourished child.

£5 can pay for ten days’ worth of life-saving food for a malnourished child

£5 will buy a mosquito net, keeping them save and sound whilst they’re sleeping

£8 a month can train a health worker to identify and treat children with diarrhoea.

£15 could provide blankets for refugee children to protect them from the cold nights.

£40 could provide enough good quality and nutritious food for two refugee children for a month.

So please dig deep and donate now
