Cavernoma Alliance UK (CAUK) supports people affected by cavernoma. A cavernoma is a common but often unheard of condition caused by a cluster of abnormal blood vessels in the brain or spine. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those affected through education, support and research.

Story

Hello Gorgeous! (Flattery gets me everywhere right?)

So here's the plan: I'm raising money for a charity very close to home - the Carvernoma Alliance UK. My mum has a carvernoma in her brain - it's a cluster of abnormal blood cells which swell and cause seizures and can make you pretty poorly. Only around 1 in 400,000 people get diagnosed with a cerebral carvernoma every year...but then I always knew my mum was special!

In order to raise funds & awareness I am walking 100km (65 miles) from London to Brighton. This will be all in one go, and should take around 20 hours. Fingers crossed it won't take any longer! Yep, I'm pretty sure I need my brain looking at as well.

I've never done anything like this before and I'm sure it's going to be horrific so please help me raise as much money as possible to make every single blister worthwhile. Those of you who know my mum and see how her life has changed since becoming ill will understand that she really doesn't deserve it - every penny we can raise researching this condition is money well spent. Those of you who don't know my mum but know me will probably find this whole 65 mile walk malarky hilarious...that's got to be worth a few quid surely?

Thanks so much, every donation is massively appreciated xxx
