The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust Charitable Fund - INCA TRAIL · 28 May 2011 ·

We support patients, our people and visitors at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, St. Margaret’s Hospital and Herts and Essex Hospital. We provide support that is beyond the scope of the NHS, for example purchasing special equipment, improving facilities and investing in vital research.

Story

After walking 26 miles through the night in 2008 to raise money for Breast Cancer I thought that would be my lot but I have decided to do another challenge which is a tough trek across the high mountain passes of the Inca Trail in Peru.

Not only do I have a mountain to climb (literally) I also need to raise the sponsorship to all me to join fellow fundraisers on this challenge. The proceeds of the donations we receive will go to two local hospitals for breast cancer research.

This trek has been organised by the local specialist surgeon who is also fundraising and participating in the trek himself.

I received so much support from everyone I know during the invasive treatment to fight this disease and this gave me the determination to win back my health. I now want to test my courage and strength by fulfilling this challenge to offer my support to others also facing the same battle.

This means I need your help and any donations towards my fundraising no matter how small will be greatly appreciated.
