In April 2018 I was diagnosed with a genetic disorder called OPMD. 

Oculopharyngeal muscular dystrophy (OPMD) is a rare inherited condition that typically presents between the ages of 40 and 50 years.

I am determined to give myself the best possible start as I approach the big 40, to stay healthy and fit in both mind and body.  

My goal is to raise awareness and money for MDUK through a series of challenges that will push me, my family, my friends and my work colleagues outside of their normal comfort levels.  I am hoping that money raised will help towards further research and development into new treatment and care plans for MDUK survivors!
