Land's End to John O'Groats · 25 June 2016

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.

I've been wanting to have a go at a long distance bike ride for some time now. As it's my 50th this year, I decided to treat myself!  I'll be setting off from Land's End on 25 June and hope to reach John O'Groats by 8 July. The route I'm taking will be about 1000 miles depending on how many times I get lost!

A few people have suggested that, as I'm doing this bike ride, I should try and raise some money for a charity.  As some of you will know, both Mum and Dad are affected by Alzheimer's. The Alzheimer's Society have provided valuable information and support over this last few years and so it seems appropriate to fundraise on their behalf.

As an added incentive (to many of you) if I manage to raise £250 I will also shave off my beard!
