In memory of Simon Davies
At Compton Care, we're here to help people navigate every aspect of life following a palliative diagnosis. We believe people are more than their diagnosis and we work with patients to give them great quality clinical expertise, care, compassion and emotional support to live their best life possible.

Story

14 months ago Simon was diagnosed with a glioblastoma multiforme, an aggressive form of brain cancer. He received great care at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham while he undertook chemotherapy and radiotherapy which prolonged his life for a few extra months.

During the last few months of his life, Compton Hospice provided excellent support for Simon. Through their exceptionally professional nursing team he was able to stay at home as he had wanted to the very end.

Simon did some fundraising when he was with Rotary and Round table for Compton so it was great that a charity that was close to his heart was there for him at the end.

If during his life you met Simon and have fond memories of your time together please feel free to donate to Compton and leave positive comments of your time with him.

Simon leaves behind his wife Sarah, son’s James and Oliver and their wives, Helen and Kathryn. It’s wonderful he got to meet all 4 of his grandchildren before he left us.
