On 3rd September 2022, some close friends and I are planning to walk 55k in one day from Eastbourne to Hove, to raise money in memory of my amazing daughter Lola, who died on 22nd August 2021 from cancer. 

To say that we are not natural athletes would be an understatement, and the struggle is real for Team "Walking With Dinosaurs". Huge thanks to Jamie Healy, John Lucas & Marc Davies for their support, and for volunteering to accompany me.

Through this first effort at fundraising, I can only hope to show a fraction of the strength, determination, bravery and hope that Lola managed throughout her illness.

It's wrong that any child should face such a cruel disease, and it's wrong that any family should have to cope with the physical, emotional and financial challenges that a child's cancer diagnosis brings.

Young Lives vs Cancer offer essential support in a variety of ways to families experiencing desperate times.
