Story

In 2013, I cycled from London to Paris over 3 days, and managed to raise over £3,500 for Cornwall Hospice Care. Thank you again if you were one of the generous supporters.

I have now decided to take on a greater challenge, and cycle from Land’s End to John o’Groats (LEJOG). This is a distance of approx. 1,000 miles which will involve spending 13 days in the saddle, riding between 62 and 93 miles each day. The route takes in some of the most challenging hills in the UK, including the Spittal of Glenshee, an 1,100 foot climb over 5 miles as well as the normal challenges of cycling in Cornwall, Devon, the Yorkshire Dales and the Scottish Highlands.

I am cycling with 3 friends as part of an organised tour of approx. 15 riders. Our accommodation, food and support is provided by ACT Tours. I am meeting all the costs myself, so 100% of money raised will go to Cornwall Hospice Care.

About Cornwall Hospice Care: This fantastic charity provides specialist palliative care and support to adults living with a life-limiting illness. The care is delivered at their 2 hospices, Mount Edgcumbe Hospice in St Austell and St Julia’s Hospice in Hayle. It costs nearly £6 million to run the 2 hospices each year. Their services are completely free of charge to the patient. Last year, they cared for nearly 500 in-patients.

My target is to raise £5,000 for Cornwall Hospice Care

I would be grateful if you would sponsor me for this challenge.
