Story

My Father-in Law (David Brand) has terminal cancer. He was diagnosed in 2004 with a tumour in his left eye. This tumour was removed but two more tumours came back before his eye was removed just a few years ago. The work that the Oncology Department performed in Liverpool gave him another 13 years of life.  Sadly this month, he was told the devastating news that the cancer from his eye 13 years before had seeded in his liver and this time there was nothing they could do.

I am shaving off my hair for charity for the 'Liverpool Ocular Oncology Research Group - University of Liverpool' so please quote this when you make your donation.

Eye cancer is a very rare disease, with on average, around 100 people in the UK a year affected. The Eye Tumour Research Fund struggle for money and so, he would like any donations made to this charity as it gave him an extra 13 years of his life and any donations would make a massive difference to their research in helping others.

Any donations will be gratefully received. This will be held on Friday 1st September 7pm at the Nell Gwynne, Jessie Road, Portsmouth. Please feel free to come along and film the event for social media.
