Story
On Sunday 31st July, with 24999 others, I'll be riding 100 miles from the Olympic Park in London, into leafy lovely Surrey, and then back into London to finish on The Mall in front of Buckingham Palace.
I'll be doing this, mainly, to raise money for Unicef (the fact that I'll also be able to put the residents of Dorking off their lunch as I cycle past with nothing but a body hugging lycra outfit between me and their organic quinoa salad, leaving behind me the waft of sweat and chamois cream, is just a bonus).
Unicef do incredible things for children caught in the most horrible situations. They go to into places that we either don't know exist, or we wished we didn't, or, frankly, we pretend we don't, and they help. They feed, they clothe, they immunise, they house, they protect. And (and I was surprised at this), despite their name, they get no funding from the UN.
Unfortunately, the world over, adults forget how to act like, well, adults, and it's often children who this hits the hardest. Please help me raise money to support the amazing work that Unicef does.
And now for the JustGiving blurb...
"Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity."
.... it say's here.
