Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Thanks for visiting my page. As many of you will know I lost my dad 7 years ago at the young age of 58. He had suffered a severe heart attack and later a catastrophic stroke whilst on the waiting list for a heart transplant that sadly never came. He was cared for brilliantly by the staff at Harefield hospital who work closely with the British Heart Foundation an organisation who help so many families. As a result I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation's research by participating in the Glasgow to Edinburgh Pedal for Scotland cycle and I'd be so grateful for your support, large or small. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please will you kindly give what you can to help me hit my target. Anything will be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much Simon x
