Story
Well here you are visiting my JustGiving page so please don't go away!
I bicycled around Northern France on three Help for Heroes Battlefield Tours with soldiers who were blind, monopeds, no-peds and with all manner of injuries. What I hadn't realised was that once these veterans leave the Army, they move into a civilian system that is just not geared up to look after the future of these men and women. Ironically, in 2011, I lost my left leg and so I now have some first hand experience of some of the challenges that they face in mobility, generally living day by day, and getting a job.
So, I was really happy to be involved in Gilly's charity to get these guys believing in themselves and mentoring them into employment.
I am not able to do the full 100K but I intend to do 50K which is what I did last year for Christopher Shale's Rwandan stadium.
This is a great little charity that is already delivering on its promises, and which will benefit hugely from your support. Thank you so much.
