The Rotary Club of Salisbury is holding its 6th Charity Swimathon at the Godolphin School Pool onSaturday 27th March 2010, although we know it is not a race, Bishopdown Brownies, Guides and Rangers will be competing to see who can swim the most lengths and raise the most money for the following deserving Charities:- 1/The Salisbury Child Contact Centre, recently established, offers an impartial, supported and safe environment for children from separated families. The cost of running the Contact Centre is £19,879 for a three year period and is entirely dependent on donations, it is free and open to all in need. 2/The Jennifer Trust for Spinal Muscular Atrophy is the only national charity in the UK dedicated both to supporting people affected by SMA, and investing in essential research into causes, treatments and eventually a cure for the condition. 3/The Salisbury and District Citizens Advice Bureau offers free, confidential, information and advice from trained Advisors on any matter including:- Debt, Housing, Employment, Welfare Benefits, Family and Personal Matters, Consumer Contracts, Legal Procedures, Education and Health. 4/Other Charities supported by Salisbury Rotary Club and Rotary International.
