The branch is run by a small group of volunteers, who fundraise to rehome unwanted cats in the local area.  Sketch is 9 years old, very timid & shy, handed to the branch for rehoming as she started annoying the elderly dog. All cats coming into care receive a vet health check and this is when her enlarged kidney was discovered.  Further scans and blood tests show Sketch to have a cystic kidney.  Sketch had already been neutered, & despite her kidney situation she was still having various problems as if she was in season.  Yet more tests and investigations show Sketch to have an unusual hormonal imbalance requiring quarterly injections of hormones to keep this under control and allow her to have a happy relaxed lifestyle, in addition to regular monitoring in respect to her kidneys.  This care to date has cost the branch around £600 and further "horror-moan" injections will be paid for by the branch even if rehomed. 

 Any funds raised in excess of Sketch's care will be used towards other veterinary care for cats in the care of Montrose & Brechin Cats Protection.

** Please gift aid your donation if you are a  UK tax payer and have paid more tax in the year than the value of gift aid which is 25% of the donation.  This doesn't cost you extra as HRMC pay the branch the 25%.  If you are unable to gift aid your donation, justgiving will take a small fee from the donation, so Sketch will not receive the full amount pledged.
