Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
In a few weeks time, Cat and Liz are heading off to Buwenda, Uganda where we
will set up and run a day nursery for children with additional support needs. We desperately need your support to make this work. There is little to no support provided
in Uganda for young children with learning disability and developmental
delay. They are often unable to attend school and do not develop
self-care skills. Our aim is to provide short term day-care for 3-5
year olds with learning disabilities in order to help them to meet
their full potential and increase their independence.
A donation from you could make a huge difference. The cost of running the nursery is so affordable, for instance:
£1 per day will feed the children in the nursery one nutritious meal. This helps to support intellectual and physical development.
£50 per month will pay for a member of staff. This is vital for the day to day running of the nursery and to disseminate skills into the community.
£100 per month will pay to rent and run the nursery premises.
With costings so low, it's easy to see what a difference you can personally make. But none of this will happen without your help.
ALL money donated goes directly to the Small Steps project. Cat and Liz are meeting ALL their own expenses themselves. Every single penny, and all the gift aid, really will go towards supporting some of Uganda's most vulnerable children.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Many thanks to everyone who donates!! - Cat and Liz : )
