Hi
Just to let you know, we have now completed our 3 peaks challenge, and we have to say the weather made it very tough. Rain from the start, and gusting wind and rain for the last hour of the climb made it impossible to see where we were going or where we had been.
On the way down, we looked for two more peaks but the driving rain and wind made it difficult, so we only managed two peaks on the day.
To compensate, we got up early the followiung morning and climbed more of snowdon to make up for the third peak.
Thank you team, we did great and I am sure the aches and pains will dissapear by next weekend,
More importanly, THANK YOU for sponsoring us and making the challenge even more worth while.
Mandy, Nikki, Rachel and Alex.

My sister Mandy, our good friend Alex and I (Nikki), along with our team leader and good friend Rachel are planning to climb 3 of the peaks of Snowdon at the end of June this year. All in one weekend!
This may not sound much to the very fit and active of you, but, if I told you that between us, we have lost over 10 stone in 3 years and couldn't walk up the stairs without being out of puff you might be able to see what an achievement this will be for us.
It all started when Mandy, who will be 50 in 'Mmm' years time, sent an email to all her friends and asked for ideas for 50 challenges before she reaches 50. Rachel decided that the 3 peaks challenge would be a good idea, so, just before Christmas we decided that we would do our own version of just that for charity.
We had recently been to Flambards in Cornwall where they had a display of the amazing Shelterbox. We decided that this would be our charity. It has become all the more important now with the awful images of the poor people of Haiti on the news everyday. The courage and perserverance of the rescuers and aid workers has spurred us on to try and raise at least £1000 between the 4 of us.
We are training hard and determined, so anything you can give will be appreciated.
